"The Rock of Ilex" began working as accommodation Country House in 2009 with the renovation of an old farmhouse. Nestled in the limestone cliff, the villa is protected by an oak tree and a rowan trees. The rooftop terrace, situated on the top of the cliff, was born from the reuse of the old barnyard, where, at one time, you essiccavano figs. From here it overlooks the Gulf of Policastro and the small fishing village of Scario. The property is divided into two levels: the ground floor distributes kitchen, living-dining room, a toilet and a master bedroom with private bath. Upstairs, via the central staircase in wood and masonry, are placed high two double bedrooms with bathroom. Architecturally, the restoration work has been centered on respect for and the type of traditional materials. The walls of local stone, the structure of chestnut wood cover, re-use of terracotta tiles, wooden frames were fully recovered or, where the conservation status would not allow it, replaced with similar materials.
