Centro visite Trentova-Tresino
The Visitor Center Trentova - Tresino is dedicated to the promotion of the landscape and the environment in the Cilento and the natural area. It offers the possibility to organize various outdoor activities (hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, archery, kayaking, etc.), To explore the rich natural heritage of the area.
The National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano and Alburnums is a unique area that combines the wonders of the coast and a crystal - often adorned with the Blue Flag - with unspoilt nature where culture, history, flavors and traditions are the main characters but old always alive. With the establishment - by the Ministry of the Environment - Marine Protected Areas in Santa Maria di Castellabate and Costa Infreschi and Masseta, is the largest protected area in Italy.
So many international awards: UNESCO World Heritage Site as "Cultural Landscape" of global significance, UNESCO-MAB Biosphere Reserve, "Green Globe" for tourism, European and World Geopark Network of Geoparks and home of the Mediterranean diet, it also intangible heritage and cultural Heritage.
From a naturalistic point of view is an area of exceptional value, considering that were identified 33 Sites of Community Importance (SCI) and 4 Special Protection Areas (SPAs) and 3 nature reserves, 2 marine national . From a historical point of view, archaeological and cultural Park boasts the presence of the Great Attractor region of Campania, Paestum and Velia, and the Certosa di San Lorenzo in Padula.
